Rotary Shoe Box Appeal

Christmas is a time when we think of others – the members of Markinch Parish Church and Glenrothes Rotary Club have been doing just that. They are delighted with the response to this year’s Rotary Shoe Box Appeal. Seven Hundred and Twenty-Eight boxes full of goodies have been donated by church members, Rotary members, local schools, individuals, Markinch Youth Club and Members of the Glenrothes Inner Wheel.
Tracy Thomson, lead Rotarian for this year’s appeal and Lars Christiansen, Rotary President, are pictured with some of the Rotary Shoe Boxes ahead of their uplifting for transport to Eastern Europe to be distributed to needy children in time for Christmas.
